Some say that living in Hampstead means you’ve reached the pinnacle of London life. The NW3 postcode is one of the most sought after (and affluent) in the UK. It offers peaceful, idyllic village settings just a few miles away from Central London and buzzy areas like Camden.
Hampstead is one of London’s most beautiful neighbourhoods, not because it has movie star looks—although plenty of movie stars live here—but because of its subtle charm. It has always been a popular area for the famous that seek privacy, and yet still have access to chic boutiques and the vast fields of Hampstead Heath where they can be found jogging or dog-walking. Young professionals also contribute to the area’s fabric; despite the quaint nature of the village there is plenty of entertainment from the high-end restaurants to the traditional pubs that have stood the test of time.
Hampstead provides a wealth of activities for residents and visitors alike. Those who love to jog, walk or generally spend time outside will love the 790 acres of Hampstead Heath, with wooded areas, meadows and gardens. There are even ponds you can swim in if you want to, although they’re very cold! Hampstead also has a zoo you can take the kids to if you’re into animals and wildlife. There are some well-known spots in Hampstead that you definitely need to visit if you move to the area, or even if you’re just there for a day trip to scout out potential places to buy and rent.
