OVERVIEW
The Audi Q8 is available with a variety of trim levels including S line, Edition 1 and Vorsprung. Each trim level is designed to fit with your own preferred styling, driving experience and technology requirements. Standard equipment and the choice of options both vary by trim. Quattro all-wheel drive, 21” alloy wheels, Audi Virtual Cockpit, MMI Navigation Plus, HD Matrix LED headlights and 2-zone automatic climate control come as standard across the range. Upgrade your trim levels to get a variety of added features including a panoramic glass sunroof and 4-zone deluxe automatic climate control on the Edition 1, and a Bang & Olufsen Premium Sound system and Front seat ventilation and massage function with the Vorsprung.
DESIGN
The Audi Q8 is broadly a more coupé-shaped version of the range topping Q7, sharing the same wheelbase and cabin width but with a sportier profile. Housing a 605-litre boot and being 4,986mm long, these are just 2 facts that demonstrate the powerful character that is the Q8. The looks are dominated by the bold new evolution of the Audi grille, emphasised by its single frame octagonal design, while the elegant sloping roofline tapers gently back to a sloping fastback tailgate.
FEATURES
Inside, it’s beautifully appointed with Audi’s trademark balance of restrained design and fine materials. The centre console features two landscape-oriented touchscreens, while driver information is displayed on Audi’s fully digital, full colour, 12.3” Virtual Cockpit which comes as standard. Heated front sports seats with ‘S’ embossed logo in valcona leather are sure to add luxury to every journey, while the rear seats can be adjusted, allowing for increased luggage space up to 680 litres to make those airport trips that little easier. The Q8s bold appearance is highlighted with styling detailing including 21” alloy wheels with a gloss-turned finish, HD Matrix LED headlights and privacy glass.
PERFORMANCE & TECHNOLOGY
The Q8 is powered by a 286PS 50TDI engine while the 55TFSI petrol engine reaches 340PS. With 48-volt mild hybrid system, the Q8 can coast at speeds above 35mph without using the engine, improving fuel consumption. Quattro all-wheel drive comes as standard, distributing power to all 4 wheels, dependent on the terrain. This maintains the cars traction and stability, whatever the surface. The Q8 is brimming with technology, including a rear-view camera and parking system plus which come as standard on the entry level S line trim. The Audi sound system and DAB digital radio will keep you entertained on those long journeys, while the Audi smartphone interface will keep you connected while you’re on the road with the natural voice recognition processing your commands easily. Bang and Olufsen Premium Sound System comes as standard on the Vorsprung trim along with a host of driver assistance systems to help you park, save fuel and, most importantly, stay safe.
SAFETY
The Q8 is fully connected to offer assistance and reassurance on every journey. Driver assistance features including Audi pre-sense front come as standard, monitoring hazardous elements in front of you, while the lane departing warning performs corrective steering interventions to prevent you from transferring out of your lane prematurely. Upgrade to the Vorsprung trim where you can experience advanced technology including side assist, helping to monitor those blind spots with a visual warning in the door mirror if someone is approaching you.
