Built 29th November 1965 and dispatched from the factory 6th December to Jaguar Cars New York this left hand drive S1 4.2 Roadster was repatriated in 1990 and UK registered. Showing 2,322 miles at that time ( MoT on file) the car was subject to a comprehensive restoration by Jaguar specialists which included the fitment of a new bonnet, an engine rebuild and conversion to right hand drive.

A matching number example finished in its original colours of pale primrose yellow with a black interior the car remains in very good order throughout and in good driving condition having just had a service in our own workshop.

It is supplied with a large file of bills for the restoration a JDHC dating certificate and 16 old MoT’s, the current mileage is showing as 3,310.

This is a nice clean example not mint but usable, the panel fit is nice and the car has no visible signs of corrosion. The paint is generally good with a few small imperfections. Mechanically sound it has good oil pressure and a smooth gearbox. A fine example that you wouldn’t be afraid to actually use and enjoy in this the 60th Anniversary of the fabulous Jaguar E Type.
