Number 195 of just 500 made, this SP5 was UK supplied by Playspeed Sports Motorcycles, Cheshire 1st March 1993. With 5 owners in total the bike had a speedo change in 2000 at 33,000km (20,625 miles) the additional 9,997 miles the bike has subsequently covered brings the total mileage to 30,622. This is shown by a number of old MoTs and a service invoice from 1997 showing the bike had 23,040 Kms at that time.
A well maintained example it had a full service inc. belts and new clutch in 2016 (8,430 miles) and another full service with belts in 2018 at 9,311 miles, other service bills are in the history file along with the original hand book and service book stamped up to 1997.
The final incarnation and the most powerful 888 the SP5 is a rare and highly sort after classic Ducati, production only lasted a year to give way to the new 916 model and so with just 500 bikes World wide they don’t come to the market often. This is fine and very presentable example with a good service history and an MoT till July 2022.
