What is the area like?
Designed to be France’s answer to the Swiss St Moritz, Megève emerged in the 1920s as a resort which attracted stylish crowds who wanted a beautiful escape and the chance to experience the French “Art de Vivre”. Today, Megève has a vibrant community feel and is one of the Evasion Mont-Blanc ski domain’s biggest ski resorts. Megève is also more family-orientated, and you will find children’s slopes just a two-minute walk from the property.
One of the great things about Megève is that it has evolved beyond just a fantastic ski resort and has turned into a year-round destination. As the snow melts away in the summer, green golf courses come to life, and the skiing community trade in their skis for clubs.
Megève has recently updated its ski infrastructure with a new high-speed gondola to replace the Chamois gondola and a six-seater chairlift, which improves access to the charming Grande Epaule run.
