Furlonger are delighted to offer this U.K. supplied Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera, wearing its original specification of Nero Noctus paintwork over a Nero alcantara interior. The car has been supplied to its two most recent custodians by Furlonger and scrupulously maintained by our workshops for the last six years!

The Gallardo Superleggera was first unveiled at the 2007 Geneva Motor Show, ‘Superleggera’ paying homage to Lamborghinis first production model, the 350 GT, designed and built by Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera.

Superleggera, meaning ‘super light’, conveyed the simple yet carefully thought-out ethos behind Lamborghinis newest contender. The addition of carbon fibre bodywork and trim makes a significant contribution to weight saving, which included the single piece bucket seats, interior trim panels, side skirts, rear diffuser, engine cover and fixed rear wing. Further weight was eliminated with a re-engineered gearbox casing made from magnesium, forged magnesium alloy wheels, optional carbon ceramic brakes and a redesigned exhaust system which not only saved 8kg but also produced less back pressure. The engine lid also featured a factory transparent polycarbonate glass panel which perfectly displays the distinctive 5.0 litre V10 engine. The rear window was made from similarly lightweight Makrolon polycarbonate.

Although the Superleggera was only awarded an additional 10 horsepower, Lamborghini achieved circa 100kg weight saving over the standard car, which meant the power to weight ratio jumped from 358hp to 392hp per tonne. Now producing 522bhp at 8,000 rpm, this all-new lightweight special series car rivalled the likes of Porsches infamous GT2 and Ferraris highly anticipated 430 Scuderia.
