PERFORMANCE
Aston Martin delivers impressive performance advances with the Vantage, reaching 0-62mph in just 3.6 seconds and a thundering top speed of 195mph. With a 4.0 litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine at its heart, the Vantage delivers raw power that results in a bold but smooth acceleration.
This model also boasts improved aerodynamics thanks to the new front splitter which directs airflow underneath the car. Its 50:50 weight distribution results in precision handling enabling you to be the master of your domain.
Power is thrusted to the rear wheels through a rear-mounted ZF eight-speed automatic transmission, showcasing the dominance and versatility of the Vantage through Dynamic Stability Control and Dynamic Torque Vectoring.
DESIGN
Exuding elegance and style in every line, this model upholds Aston Martin’s established reputation for superior design. With elements of the DB10 woven in, the wide-set headlights and low full-length grille offer a sporty and curvaceous body as well a pronounced bonnet.
The bold and extroverted exterior, inspired by technologically-advanced and modern sportswear, injects an extra boost of energy to the already naturally sporty silhouette.
Capturing the car’s animalistic character, the cockpit features a lower driving position than previous models, intimately connecting the driver and the road ahead. TECHNOLOGY
Like all Aston Martins’, the Vantage was built with technology at the forefront and features a centrally-mounted digital dashboard embellished with an 8-inch LCD screen. The infotainment system comes with sat-nav, iPhone integration and parking distance display all as standard.
Benefitting from dual climate-control, active dampers and electronic rear differential, the Vantage monitors the car’s temperament and reacts accordingly, channelling power to the relevant wheel in just a fraction of a second.

NEW ASTON MARTIN VANTAGE ROADSTER
Vantage Roadster is the perfect partner to the Coupe, designed side by side they sit together united in their commitment to providing the ultimate driving thrills. A convertible which amplifies the emotional appeal of a model renowned for delivering a compelling blend of potent performance, outstanding dynamics and everyday usability.
DESIGN
Vantage is Aston Martin’s most compact and agile model, and the engineering and design teams at Gaydon clearly didn’t want to compromise that with a heavy folding metal roof. Instead, the new Vantage Roadster will have a (well-insulated) fabric roof, which saves weight and looks almost as great up as it does when stowed away. Below the waistline, the Roadster retains all the design cues of the Coupe, including those distinctive side gills, menacing front splitter and muscular flanks. At the rear a single full-width band of LED lights follows the contours of the upflicked boot spoiler.
PERFORMANCE
Chassis strengthening to compensate for the loss of a metal roof will probably add around 100kg to the Roadster’s kerb weight, but that shouldn’t affect performance much. Like the Vantage Coupé, the Roadster will feature a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 that powers the rear wheels via a ZF 8-speed transmission.
That engine’s 503bhp and 685Nm of torque is enough to catapult the Coupé from 0-62mph in just 3.6 seconds, so we can be confident the Roadster will comfortably undercut four seconds.
TECHNOLOGY
Includes keyless start/stop, tyre pressure monitoring, park assist and front and rear parking sensors. The infotainment system is controlled and viewed via a centrally mounted 8” LCD screen and includes Aston Martin Audio, Bluetooth® audio and phone streaming, iPod®, iPhone® and USB playback as well as an integrated satellite navigation system.
SAFETY
The pre-launch shots from Aston Martin show a pair of sturdy roll hoops behind each of the two seats, an obvious point of difference with the Coupé. Otherwise we’d expect the Roadster to feature Vantage Coupe driver assistance systems, including Dynamic Stability Control and Dynamic Torque Vectoring linked to an Electronic Differential (e-Diff). Other Vantage safety features include Blind Spot Monitoring and Emergency Brake Assist – it’s a safe bet these will be carried over to the Roadster’s specification.
Verdict: As a piece of design, the Vantage Roadster looks every inch as well resolved and drop-dead gorgeous as the Coupé it shares a platform with.
